Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 June 2026

West Live runs ticketing for concerts and club nights. We value the trust of everyone who buys tickets through us or visits our website, and we are committed to protecting your personal data. This Policy explains what personal data we handle, why and on what legal basis, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to westliveticket.com and to the events we sell tickets for.

Who is the controller of your data

The controller of your personal data is West Live, with its registered office at Ukraine and registration number to be confirmed. This means this entity decides how and why your data is processed.

For any privacy questions, or to exercise your rights, you can reach us at [email protected]. Where we have appointed a person responsible for data protection, they can be contacted at the same address.

Our role: West Live and the event organizer

In most cases, West Live sells tickets on behalf of the event organizer. To fulfil your order we need to share the necessary data with the organizer (such as your name and contact details) so they can run the event, manage entry, and notify you of changes where needed. For the data West Live collects and processes through the site to sell tickets and for our own purposes (accounts, security, analytics, marketing), West Live is the controller. For how the organizer then uses the data it receives to run its event, the organizer acts as an independent (and, in some cases, joint) controller under its own policy. Where appropriate, we will direct requests about the organizer's processing to that organizer.

What personal data we collect

We collect only the data we need to sell you tickets and host your visit to an event. Depending on how you interact with us, this can include:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number where you choose to share it.
  • Account data — registration details and settings if you create an account.
  • Order data — the tickets you buy, the event you choose, the number and type of tickets, the time of purchase, and your order history.
  • Payment data — processed on our behalf by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
  • Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages and items viewed, cart contents, and other on-site activity collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences — your consent or opt-out for communications.
  • Support communications — the messages and information you provide when you contact us.
  • Special-category data — health or accessibility information (for example, wheelchair-accessible seating) is processed only with your explicit consent and only when you choose to provide it for attending an event.

We typically gather this data when you purchase a ticket, create an account, contact our support team, sign up to hear about upcoming events, or otherwise use the website.

Why we process data and on what legal basis

We only process your data where we have a lawful basis to do so. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data-protection law, for each purpose we rely on one of the following bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to process your order, take payment, issue your tickets, enable entry to an event, share with the organizer the data needed to run it, and provide support.
  • Compliance with legal obligations — for accounting, tax, and other mandatory record-keeping, and to respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.
  • Legitimate interests — to protect the site from fraud and abuse, ensure information security, analyse and improve our service, send abandoned-cart reminders, and run post-event surveys. We rely on this only where your rights and interests do not override it, and we may retain the data of accounts terminated for fraud or serious breach for longer in order to protect us, organizers, and attendees.
  • Consent — for marketing communications, personalised recommendations, non-essential (analytics, advertising) cookies, and the processing of special-category data. You can withdraw consent at any time, and this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Transactional messages (tickets, order confirmations, important event updates, and support replies) are sent regardless of your marketing preferences, as they are part of providing the service.

Use of your phone number. If you provide a phone number, we use it solely for essential service notifications about your order and the event — in particular to warn you if an event is cancelled, rescheduled, or materially changed. We do not make marketing calls, send marketing messages or newsletters to this number, or share it with third parties for marketing. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you and, for cancellation or rescheduling alerts, our legitimate interest in keeping you informed in good time.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is necessary to provide our service, and only with trusted partners acting as our processors under contract, obliged to protect your data and use it solely on our instructions:

  • Event organizers — the data needed to run the event, manage entry, and notify you of changes (see the role section above).
  • Payment providers — to process your transactions securely licensed payment providers.
  • Ticketing and hosting platform — the infrastructure that powers the ticket shop.
  • Email service provider — to send order confirmations, event notifications, and (with your consent) news our email service provider.
  • Analytics and advertising services — to understand how the site is used and to measure performance advertising and targeting platforms.

We may also disclose data where required by law, a court order, or a competent authority, and in the event of a reorganisation, merger, or sale of the business — in which case data passes to the successor entity subject to this Policy.

International data transfers

Some of our providers may store or process data outside Ukraine or the European Economic Area. Where such a transfer takes place, we put appropriate safeguards in place — for example, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the relevant authorities, or working with providers in countries that ensure an adequate level of data protection. A copy of the relevant safeguards is available on request at our contact address.

How long we keep data

We keep your data no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Order and payment data — for as long as needed to perform the contract and to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations the period required by Ukrainian tax and accounting law.
  • Account data — for as long as the account is active; after a deletion request we delete or anonymise the data within a reasonable period after account deletion or prolonged inactivity, except where we are required or have a legitimate interest to keep it longer (record-keeping, security, defending legal claims).
  • Marketing data — until you withdraw your consent to receive communications.
  • Support communications — for a reasonable period to handle your request and improve our service.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access — obtain confirmation that we process your data and a copy of it.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten") where there is no reason to keep it.
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and have it transferred to another controller.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests, to direct marketing, or to profiling.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent you previously gave at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal).
  • Complain — lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

To exercise any right, write to us at [email protected]. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by law. Exercising your rights and opting out of marketing is free of charge; you can also unsubscribe from marketing using the link in every email.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work correctly, remember your preferences, support the checkout flow, measure how the site performs, and (with your consent) show you more relevant advertising. Non-essential cookies are set only after your prior consent, given through our consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time. For details on which cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Access is limited to authorised personnel and processors bound by confidentiality. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to keep your information safe.

Children

Our service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. Individual events may carry age restrictions, which are shown on the event page. If you believe we have unintentionally collected a child's data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version is always published on westliveticket.com with the last-updated date at the top. We will notify you of material changes by appropriate means. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
